Participants of Senior Executive Course (Sec) No. 39, 2017 from the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) Kuru, Jos paid a study tour to National Sugar Development Council, Abuja.

The Acting Director General of the Institute Jonathan Juma Mni, told NSDC Management that the approved study theme by Mr President for the course participants is “Science Technology and Innovation for the Development of Agriculture and Agro-Allied Industries in Nigeria”. He said NSDC is considered as one of such strategic institutions critical towards the achievement of the theme.

In his welcome address NSDC Executive Secretary Dr. L.D. Busari welcome participants and express satisfaction on the opportunity given to the council for being one of the strategic institutions critical towards the achievement of the theme for this year.

In a paper presented to participants on NSMP Dr. Busari explained the deliverables of the NSMP, science technology and innovation in the sugar industry, key challenges and measures being taken to overcome the challenges.
